Raimund M. Wasner, is a highly regarded analyst and expert on ECM technologies. He has researched, studied ad written about personal computing, document management, document imaging, workflow, records management, groupware, web content management technologies for more than 25 years. Wasner rallyied the document management industry in the early nineties and in collaboration with COMPtia created the CDIA certification program for document management. He also led the team, and contributed to the creation of the first industry standard training curriculum for ECM which had more than 15,000 graduates.
Prior to Kollabria, Wasner was Senior Vice President for what is now Forrester Research. He started the first document management and workflow research practice in 1987, and has worked with leading vendors and users alike to achieve success with ECM implementations. He along with two partners also started the first magazines in the ECM space. ImagingWorld, (now KMworld) was started in 1991, and Imaging Business (now Business Solutions) was started in 1993.
Prior to that Wasner was Research Director at the Yankee Group, where he directed research on personal computing, on-line service delivery, mobile technology and personal and consumer automation technologies. Wasner and his team were the creators of the Technologically Advanced Family (TAF) research program and consumer segmentation scheme.
After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Linguistics, Wasner under the leadership of fellow Cal student Masayoshi Son (Chairman and founder of Japan Softbank) was instrumental in the creation of the worlds first hand held talking translator from Sharp Corporation. Wasner, Son and team directed the team of experts (of which he was one) that developed algorithms and software to correctly translate a dictionary of two thousand common phrases and words into 16 foreign languages.
Bitten by the personal computing bug, Wasner created MagicSoft, a software development firm that created game software for the Japanese computer market. The software was exclusively distributed by Japan Softbank, and was proudly marketed under the slogan, Made in the U.S.A.
Barry J. Baronas, is an experienced network, security and IT management professional. For the past two years as Research Director in the Kollabria ECM team, he has spent every waking moment of his workday on developing a solid understanding the business benefit of ECM technologies and the impact they have streamlining business processes and generating return on investment for the modern enterprise. He has focused much of his effort on developing a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and features that various ECM products and technology vendors promote in order to give practical advice to businesses eager to adopt such solutions.
Baronas, who has a strong background in various Microsoft technologies, Unix and Web Content Management solutions has been bitten by the SharePoint bug and is working on several research papers that outline the ECM capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint.
Baronas has an advanced degree from Northeastern University's High Technology MBA program which focused on the methods and requirements analysis of advanced technology in automating the modern enterprise.
Donna M. Amrhein is a consultant, project leader and research director with more than 20 years of high tech experience. Amrhein was the founding editor and chief of two leading publications in document management, document imaging and workflow technologies. ImagingWorld (Now KMworld) and Imaging Business (now Business Systems). She has written numerous educational white papers on dozens of document management and business automation solutions.
Prior to that Amrhein was a Research Director at the Yankee Group where she directed the research of a variety of technologies, including the Yankee Group's industry leading Technologically Advanced Family research project.
